Luliana Charles

Social Worker

A native of New Orleans, Luliana “Lana” Charles has been delivering enrichment and youth development programming in her home city for a decade; developing and implementing arts, cultural, and mentoring curriculum for New Orleans youth in the most challenging neighborhoods. After earning her degree, she worked as co-director at the National Performance Network Local Network Project: the Porch 7th Ward Cultural Organization, as program coordinator and instructor at the Beautiful Foundation, and as program coordinator at KIDsmART. Lana also created and directs the ArtSoul Project, a summer enrichment camp for youth in the Algiers area. She has a BA from Dillard University in Business Management and the Arts, has conducted graduate studies in arts administration, and earned her Master of Social Work at Tulane University School of Social Work.
