Dr. Perry will continue uplifting others as LCCR’s new Deputy Director. Prior to joining LCCR, she provided direct services and held leadership roles within child-serving nonprofits, local governments, and public school districts. Throughout her career, she has assisted the unhoused, elderly, incarcerated women, crime victims, children, adolescents, and distressed families in California, Louisiana, Georgia, and Florida. In addition to her programmatic expertise, she has vast knowledge surrounding emotional intelligence, leadership skills, and self-care for human service professionals.
Shannon and her husband returned to New Orleans in 2020. Since coming home, they have enjoyed reconnecting with their extended family members, delved into their ancestral history, and examined New Orleans as if they were zealous tourists. She loves all aspects of our culture and particularly desires supporting performing and visual artists.
