Adrian Dubose

Children’s Defense Team Staff Attorney

Adrian DuBose is a proud New Orleans native and alumnus of Warren Easton Charter High School, Louisiana State University, and Southern University Law Center. His commitment to justice and advocacy, particularly within indigent and juvenile defense, has shaped both his personal and professional journey.

Raised in a family dedicated to service, Adrian was immersed early in communities where many young people faced challenges and were often misunderstood or underserved. These formative experiences, along with his own lived experiences navigating school and behavioral systems, have deeply informed his connection to the youth served by the Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights.

While in law school, Adrian clerked with Northshore Defenders, the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, the East Baton Rouge Public Defender’s Office, and the Honorable Judge Jewel Welch at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeals. Following graduation, he served as both a paralegal and staff attorney at the Orleans Public Defenders Office, where he provided client-centered, compassionate representation during some of the most difficult moments in his clients’ lives.

Adrian brings a trauma-informed, empathetic approach to his work and is committed to ensuring that every child is supported, seen, and reminded that their circumstances do not define their future. He is honored to serve as a staff attorney at LCCR, standing alongside young people as part of the village working to protect their rights and possibilities.
