Jarrett was born and raised in New Orleans. In 2012, he received a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Behavioral Studies from the University of New Orleans. He then worked as a special education paraprofessional for students ages 6 to 16. His work in schools prepared him to join LCCR as a Youth Advocate in the summer of 2015, as many of the children he now serves have Individualized Education Programs and/or mental health diagnoses.
