Lauren Primeaux

Social Worker

Lauren is a Louisiana native born and raised in Kaplan, Louisiana. In 2018, they moved to Baton Rouge to pursue a Bachelor of Social Work at Louisiana State University, where they later completed their Master of Social Work with a specialization in social policy in 2023.

Following graduation, Lauren worked in grassroots organizing, serving underrepresented communities in Pointe Coupee Parish and advocating for policy change across Louisiana, including efforts focused on criminal justice reform. They completed a year-long term with Serve Louisiana in this role and are a proud AmeriCorps alumni.

Lauren is driven by a passion for creating and sustaining systems that uplift and support children and families rather than exacerbating the conditions that lead to system involvement. They deeply believe in the power of community participation and relationship-building as tools for meaningful change.
