The Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights (LCCR) and the Louisiana Parole Project (LPP) collaborated to produce this guide to provide attorneys representing juveniles serving life sentences with general information about the parole process. This guide includes information on helping clients become parole-eligible, getting a date set for a parole hearing, preparing for the hearing itself, challenging a denial, and ensuring a timely release after a grant.
